Book Thingo

What rendered me speechless last week

If my recent posting habits have been negligent, I do have my reasons. See if you can figure it out...

Do you see what I see?

I have to admit, someone had to tell me what's going on. I just didn't expect this at all. Not in my wildest dreams.

I'll blog some more later. I'll let the shock sink in first.

And just for my amusement, you can try guessing the many reactions to this surprise. And the top 3 major purchases we'll be making between now and June.

Thanks, Ruth! But that's only half of the story. Look closer... ;-)

geez, kat. ultrasound images are like abstract art to me... let me hazard a guess... i see two blotches, so.... ???? oh.my.zeus.

Yeah, it was a bit like that. I was oblivious. Even when the image was staring at me in the face, I didn't know what I was looking at.

Wow! I saw the two babies right away. You're the second person in blog land recently to say they're having twins (Dee Tenorio is the other) Congratulations, that's awesome but...eek for you! I can only imagine the shock.

Ahhhhh, that's wonderful Kat! Congrats!!!

Kat O+ said...

Thanks, Angie. I believe "eek" was also the first thing that popped into my head! *lol* Dee's further along than me so at least I can read her older posts for what to expect.

Thanks, Karen. :-)

Congrats, Ate Nina!!! I heard!! Awww I hope they're identical! Heeheehee!! :-)

Darth Vadar?

Kat O+ said...

Apol, the line in the middle is the membrane and I'm told this means the babies are fraternal. There's still a 5% chance they might be identical but that's pretty unlikely since we have zero twins in our family. A boy-girl pair would be lovely. :-)

Mary, that came later. The initial reaction was probably closer to Planet of the Apes. *g*

the Darth Vader was priceless.

I hope they're a boy and girl pair. The top three purchases: Double stroller, another high chair and a bigger crib?

Wow, and Eek! Congrats Kat. Hope everything goes smoothly. Are two twice as exhausting when you're still pregnant? I hope not!

Thanks, Sheila Marie! :-)

Larissa, you were close. They were/will be: car, stroller...and I haven't decided on the third one. Might be a cot, might be ear plugs. *lol*

Charl, that's what we're hoping. Thanks. :-)

Thanks, Kay. Eek, is about right! *lol* Yes, being pregnant with twins is twice as exhausting. Or rather, the symptoms seem to double in intensity and sneak up on you twice as fast. I also feel as big as a house!

Thanks, Alexa, although I believe the hubby is claiming all credit for the twins. *lol*

Jenorama, now that we're over the shock, it really is quite exciting. Thanks for stopping by. :-)

Kala, definitely a wonderful early Christmas present. :-)

Thanks, Jill. Being pregnant was a GREAT excuse to indulge over the holidays. *g*

Whin, a nanny would be lovely but where will we put her? *lol* I'm not buying the boobs until I'm sure there won't be any more kids. :D

Thanks, Leah! Everything is new and scary again, now that we're expecting twins.

Tintin, thanks x2. *g*

Thanks, Caesar. Hope you had a good one, too.

Madmuse, thanks. :-) I didn't think it would affect my blogging but the tiredness is definitely having an impact on my blogging habits!

Thanks again, everyone, for your lovely comments and e-mails. I'm sorry it took me so long to respond!!!
