I felt pretty much the same way about this one. I truly enjoyed it, but felt the delivery lacked quite a bit, because we didn't see any of the internal conflicts the characters had. Such as why Mark loved Suzanne in the end and what forced him to change his mind about her.

Overall it was good, though, and something I'd recommend. I, too, would like to see more stories in this format. I'll be keeping my eye on MB. :)

Holly, I read your review. You raised a good point about the author being male yet still able to write a decent romance. Maybe that's why the e-mails between Mark and Patrick were the most enjoyable. So blokey, they made me laugh. I'm not convinced that the format is a good fit for a romance. But I'd love to read a Desperate Housewives type of story this way. Maybe with a romance on the side, not at the forefront.
