Just got a call from Daphne, who managed to get through Aussie customs much faster than I'd anticipated (lucky her, and she didn't have to pinch any babies to do it). She rang before I'd had a shower--sooo not a morning person--but after my coffee, which means I was reasonably lucid, at least. We're having lunch at Darling Harbour and dessert at the Lindt cafe.
You're all jealous, I can tell.
And on the book front, I just finished reading Ice Storm by Anne Stuart. I loved it. It has a similar vibe to The Spymaster's Lady in that the heroine isn't as tough as her profession implies, and she's on the verge of burnout. So I think I would have liked to have seen Isobel before she gets to this point (and how she gets to the point of burnout), but maybe that was done in the previous book in the series, which I haven't read. I was planning to write a review, but I'm also editing something and work is busy and I still have that other mystery project that I'm supposed to be working on, so the personal blog will be suffering neglect for at least a few more weeks.
But to finish on a sparkier note, The Boy and I started salsa level 5 a couple of weeks ago. It's fanfuckentastic.

OMG! I am SO jealous! I soo wish I was having lunch w/ the two of you.
I'm also jealous of the salsa! You suck.
:P
She was bumped up to business class. Even I'm jealous!
You have to take advantage of your newlywedness to convince MM to go dancing. It's the only way. My husband only tried it after I convinced him that all the single, young 20-somethings were doing it. :-D
Yay for meeting Daphne! And I have been threatening to sign Bob and I up for dance classes - maybe this winter.
And if Isobel is who I think she is then yes, she is in all the previous books (she's the big boss, right?)
I haven't read the last in the series yet cause I'm hoarding ;)
3 little ones and you go salsa dancing - bestill my heart!
Cindys
Cindy, we go to salsa to escape the three little ones!
